I published this portable in some other sites too and users over a thousand downloaded it. No problem up to now. I suggest to try with an other anti-virus. For example, it's all clean as my Kaspersky.

Anonymous said...

Yes it is infected, also all other versions on the web, just go to extracted folder and look in last forlders (something like 000000001) and in them you'll find svchost.exe or some other windows files which has the size about 7.5kB and everytime you run this photoshop you can go to task manager and see the svchost.exe is running under Administrator user which is ALMOST a VIRUS or POTENTIAL HARMFUL application. PEOPLE like you (I know you are expert) MUST test their post first!!!!!

antdiskmk said...

gives the error "missing folder docu-&-settings\local settings\temp\phrryden"

"SVCHOST.EXE" Is a windows security updating component, not a Trojan! You should investigate before you panic and post BS.

Anonymous said...

Hey Anonymous, BS IS WHAT YOUR HEAD IS FULL OF!!!!, first know the rules and then surf the web KID!!!!. the SVCHOST is suppose to be in system32 folder not the 0000000001 or something like that folder and second the svchost is not 7.5kB you better read my post again...

Anonymous said...

there's probably infected by virus if you don't pack it into .rar or .zip file.. so, upload it again in packed file.

Spencer Tomosvary said...

Obviously we're very much aware here that trojans commonly hide in altered versions of svchost. Thanks for the warning.. I'll find another source for my D/L.

Don't you think that you can just delete that file, it won't be missed if you delete it. Its not like the file won't run without it, as a matter of fact I deleted every file and folder exept 3 of them and it runs fine,(I can't save). I still works

Anonymous said...

You are still an idiot guy above me. Dont try and cover it up. aaahahahahahahahaaaa

Mediathoughts said...

Even if it isn't a virus then where did it save? Cause it is not where i put it

Mediathoughts said...

Hey people do any of you have vista cause it worked for me with no virus or anything it was just their as photoshop

Anonymous said...

ok first of all THERE IS NO VIRUS
im a security expert, i work for a computer company. IT IS A FALSE POSITIVE the SVCHOST runs so that you dont have to activate it. Good job, for making yourselves look stupid.

Hi Thanks for the app,

it doesn't have any virus, when we clicked the exe file its is trying to extracting the files to temp folder so some anti virus may thinking this as virus

if u want to run safely open the exe file with Winrar or 7zip and extract them into a single folder and then run the cs3,you will found no problems

Hi yerdenizden can you post CS4 lite edition plz its really have lot of good features, i am waiting for it

Thanks for making wonderful application into more usable

File removed from Rapidshare

Anonymous said...

Confirmed about rapidshare. the other dl option just keeps saying server 9 error. Try again later.

Btw, if you have your AV software to protect from files in temp folders, port apps will usually scream or fail.

I had the same problem with my anti-virus program, however, I've kept CS3 on my computer and have been using the program frequently and there's not been any type of problem.

So I think some anti-viruses are picking up something else and saying it's a virus when it's not.

@Anonymous: No one is going to take you seriously until you learn how to type. Also, there is no need to get hostile online; no one cares how mad you say you are.

-----------

Here's an idea: Buy the real software.
Big pluses I can see from here: the real software has customer support, no downloads being cut off at rapidshare, and no viruses.

Pirating FTL.

Anonymous said...

Can somebody place the software again in Rapidshare or anywhere else. Thanks.

Oh yeah, this program's infected. I downloaded it and used it to upload a C4D, but every time I head to my folder where they are, Webroot Antivirus always quaratines an infection found, every time I do that. Plus you can't even upload new brushes into this. IT would be wise not to download this. If you google the CS4 portable, it'll work, I just personally don't like it.

half of the people who are complaning about a trojan horse, complain because they think theyre doing a great service to anyone who downloads the app. that same 50% of you think you know about viruses and "spyware" just cos you know it might break your computer. then theres the rest who dont complain at all coz they know what to do if indeed it bricks their os or take resposibility for running the prog. do you really need the world to hand you free shit on silver platter? if you dont trust it, buy it and stop complaning you cheap selfish pricks.

learn to appreciate effort. use a damn firewall, run a seperate windows on a vm, or run it in a jail. hell if youre already breaking the law by using a pirated product, why not download the full "uninfected" version of almost any given torrent site.

Anonymous said...

svchost.exe is not a virus if you have a AV that is detecting it as such then get a better AV because these are needed by windows and are installed even on new installations from the install disc.

Norton SUCKS ANYWAY NOOB so get a good AV like Avast or Nod32

both download links are broken.

svchost.exe not a virus if its come from microsoft.
other source they are virus.
if u said it not , i would glad to give you a svchost.exe and see how i infect your computer.
Don't fucking blame antivirus. they all same.
even its a virus you can use this software because this method call biding. hide a virus behind other software.
Just saying, its up to you to trust or not (:

I'm not an expert, but I know two things:

Antimalware products are like doctors, they're not perfect, and they make mistakes trying to be too cautious at times.. some are more and some are less prone to this type of error.

It has even been given a name, so common it is: "false positive" - so antivirus products are not always so positive, they just don't admit it.. just like doctors aren't known for their mistakes.

But treatment for a sickness you don't have can be bad for you - deleting those executables could break the portable program's functionality.

So what are those files anyway ? System files (such as svchost.exe, explorer.exe) are sometimes copied by portable program creators such as Thinstall or made intro a "boot-strapper" executable (a small size file of the same name) because they are needed or they have to be sandboxed (limit their access to the system in order to work with the portable application).

It is difficult to make sure the files are not indeed virused though, so I understand why beginners rely on antimalware software. Otherwise, you can try them in a sandboxed environment (or virtual machine) or use HIPS (part of some security software) to check for modifications they make to the system they run on.

I'm still learning English. By "virused" I meant "infected".

People like me, who offer technical support, make money out of confusion of this type. I'm about to be hired in this field :D

This file is either removed due to copyright claim or is deleted by the uploader.

I just came across this site. Been using this version of PhotoShop CS3 lite for years. One of my favorites.

BUT the file "Crystallize.8BF" has a virus. Just replace it from another version or installation. It's in the

CS3\Plug-Ins\Filters\ directory.

Portable Photoshop is a video editing software that is light to use on a computer compared to the Full Version...but Photoshop portable is no less great than the full version.
